Cold Rain
        Hanshan Deqing 1564-1623

A hard cold rain a forest of wind
late at night the lotus drips
who knows the dream that entrances the world
is simply the luminous prajna mind

Hán yǔ xiāoxiāo fēng mǎn lín
Liánhuā lòushuǐ yè chénchén
Shéizhī jǔshì nán xǐng xīn
Jìnshì guāngmíng bān rě xīn

Translator: Red Pine-Bill Porter 赤松
